This system is used to protect the US and our allies from air and missile threats. This program is used to integrate numerous air and missile defense systems (THAAD, PATRIOT, PAC-3, IFPC) with various radars and sensors to effectively manage and operate these defensive weapon systems through a seamless battlefield management system.These positions require US citizenship, an existing DoD clearance (Secret or higher), and on-site work at a facility in Huntsville, Alabama (telework is not available).**** This position is contingent upon receipt of additional fundingJob Description:The successful candidate will perform network engineering activities supporting all phases of systems development in the areas of Network Engineering as a Computer Systems Architect. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Support the design and implementation of network architecture
• Lead scheduled maintenance of the different Network IOS
• Implement Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) for networking devices
• Perform routine network administration tasks as neededBasic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree with 2 years of experience; or 0 years of relevant experience with a Masters (MS) degree, or additional years in lieu of a degree.
  • DoD 8570 Security certification such as Sec+, CASP, CISSP, or equivalent.
  • Good understanding of IP4 and IPv6 network design, including IP subnetting and protocols including BGP, OSPF and EIGRPPreferred Qualifications:
    • A professional certification specific to the networking industry i.e. CCNA/CCNP/CCIE or equivalent.
    • Good understanding of network device configuration and troubleshooting (ideally, Cisco IOS/IOS-XE)
    • Good understanding of advanced features like GRE, IPSEC, IP quality-of-service, VLANs, and multicast.
    • Experience with military COMSEC/CRYPTO equipment and procedures.
    • Experience with tactical/military radio networks
    • Experience VoIP and VTC
    • Experience with IBCS or other DoD weapon systemsThe application period for the job is estimated to be 60 days from the job posting date.
