a Data Scientist Lead within PNC's AI & Intelligent Automation
Center, you will be based in Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Birmingham,
Dallas, Philadelphia, New Jersey or New York. The position is
primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in
the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some
responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager's

Automation Center sits at the intersection of business, innovation,
and artificial intelligence (AI) to enable PNC's businesses to

we work hand in hand with different line of businesses and their
technology teams to identify and help deliver high value business
opportunities, maintain and enhance AI technologies and
capabilities, and bring new AI technologies into the bank.Essential
Skills and Experience: - Experience in data science, machine
learning, or a related field. - Experience leading a team of data
scientists. - Strong background in statistical analysis, predictive
modeling, and advanced data exploration techniques. - Proficient in
programming languages like Python, R, or Scala, and experience with
machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch,
scikit-learn). - Experience working with distributed computing
frameworks such as Spark for handling large datasets. - Excellent
problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to
break down complex problems and devise effective solutions. -
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the
ability to present technical concepts to both technical and
non-technical stakeholders. - Proven ability to define data science
strategy and align it with broader business objectives. -
Experience in Agile project management methodologies, including
setting goals, defining milestones, and tracking progress. -
Understanding of the latest trends and best practices in data
science and machine learning, including the use of generative AI
models. - Experience in building and managing end-to-end machine
learning pipelines, from data ingestion to model deployment and
monitoring. - A strong advocate for a collaborative, inclusive work
environment that encourages knowledge-sharing and continuous
learning.Desired Skills and Experience: - Understanding of cloud
computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and experience
with deploying and managing data science models in production. -
Familiarity with data engineering and the ability to work with data
engineers to build scalable and efficient data pipelines. -
Experience in leading and mentoring junior data scientists,
including providing feedback and guidance for professional
development. - Strong business acumen and the ability to align data
science initiatives with organizational goals and strategies. -
Extensive experience leveraging generative AI models (e.g., GPT-3,
DALL-E) to optimize workflows and drive innovation within the
team.Job DescriptionDirects and consults on analytical projects
that leverage vast amounts of structured and unstructured data to
extract actionable business insights.Directs the data gathering,
data processing and data mining of large and complex datasets.
Provides deep technical expertise to advance the data science
capabilities of analytics teams.Serves as a representative of PNC;
understands the needs and challenges PNC is facing and provides
thought leadership around data science activities both internally
and externally.Supervises the implementation of advanced analytics
projects, and as an expert in the field, helps other data
scientists present the analytical processes and outcomes to
management.Partners with Data Architects, Data Analysts, Data
Engineers and Visualization Experts to develop data-driven

Salary: $80,000.00 - $209,300.00Salaries may vary based on
geographic location, market data and on individual skills,
experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the
payment based upon company, business and/or individual
