Apply today!About the roleThe Processing Technician is responsible for the collection and processing of material from their client's facility. The Processing Tech takes their direction from the Supervisor or Manager when applicable. The Processing Tech will utilize various forms of machinery to perform their everyday tasks, including forklifts, compactors, and balers. Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment such as fork trucks, balers, compactors, etc.
• Process waste materials into like commodities or in accordance with vendor specifications
• General housekeeping. Sweeping, washing and other maintenance of the area(s) Reworld is responsible for
• Loading/Unloading of van trailers and/or flat beds
• Managing collection points within a client's facility
• Interact with plant personnel to determine needs of the local areasQualifications/Skills
  • Shipping/receiving industry experience preferred
  • HS diploma or GED preferred; Covanta offers GED Works - a fully funded program for employees to achieve their GED.
  • Forklift Experience
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and time management skills
  • Ability to become forklift certified through internal coaching
  • Ability to work long shifts and to be punctual for your assigned start timeShift: Monday to Friday - 6:45a to 3:30pm and occasional Saturday.Physical Demands of the Role:
    • Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb
    • Ability to lift/carry 50lbs
    • Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces
    • Qualify to wear a full-face respirator
