Job Description:
Job Description --- Ensure that all program and procedures are
followed and implemented as described bythe company guidelines.---
Maintain a high degree of quality, while working efficiently and
cost effectively.--- Responsible for processing and analyzing
samples collected from the farms with littleto no supervision.---
Sample preparation & processing--- Complete testing on a timely and
accurate basis--- Result tracking and reporting--- Ensure lab
safety objectives are met--- Comply with ISO 9001 and ISO 17025
quality standards--- Perform validation studies--- Provide support
on quality tasks (review/draft of work instruction/forms, assist
withinvestigations, etc.)--- Cross-training in other laboratory
departments as time permits--- Perform other duties in the course
of their work which may be required--- May be required to work on
weekends as needed--- Accurately process and analyze samples in a
time efficient manner--- Follow procedures outlined in the
laboratory work instructions--- Responsible for the quality of work
performed as well as the quality of the productproduced.--- Follow
company policy and meet established procedures regarding
bio-security,animal welfare, safety, ISO requirements, and
drug/alcohol policy.--- Ensure all possible controls are in place
to preserve and protect the purity and securityof samples from
possible contamination, loss or damage.--- Attendance is expected
and required during normal working hours or during theassigned
working schedule determined by the supervisor.Work Experience
Specific Experience:--- Previous laboratory experience preferred
with molecular diagnostics a plus.Specific Training:--- Basic
computer knowledge including creating documents and spreadsheets---
Ability to communicate via email.Personal Qualities:--- Must
possess the ability to apply common sense understanding to
accomplish daily andweekly goals as well as deal with changing
testing needs requested by supervisors orthe veterinarian.---
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
required.--- Must be self-motivated with ability to perform tasks
with accuracy and efficiency.--- Ability to perform departmental
duties with team members but also able to work alone.--- Computer
application skills working with Word, Excel, and
