The Senior Chemist - Product Development position requires an advanced understanding of industrial detergent chemistry. This position will focus will include product line development, expansion, and improvement.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Chemist - Product Development position requires an advanced understanding of industrial detergent chemistry. This position will focus will include product line development, expansion, and improvement.

EDUCATION:
Required: M.S. in Chemistry preferred, but other related fields could be considered.
Preferred: Ph.D. Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE:
Required: 8+ years of experience in industrial detergent chemistry. Experience focusing on antimicrobial intervention chemistries in the food processing industry is a plus. Product development is a strong focus of this position.

POSITION REQUIREMENT(S): Specialized Skills/License/Certification
Required: Advanced knowledge of chemistry principles, research, and techniques, ability to work well on a team, high level of analytical skills. Strong independent worker with skills in both written and verbal communication. Excellent analytical chemistry skills and experience with analytical equipment, including ICP, HPLC, IC, titrations, etc.

Preferred: Experience with creating detailed lab reports and other technical documents. Experience with intervention chemistries in the food processing industry. Strong intuition for creation/development of new chemistries and applications.

2) Developing appropriate QC testing on all Zeco products using chromatography, spectroscopy, or spectrophotometry techniques.
3) Providing detailed lab reports on product development and other assigned projects.

5) Maintaining laboratory and corporate records.
6) Supporting sales efforts in the field.
7) Ensuring a safe lab environment.
8) Working on any additional projects that may from time to time be assigned.
