Job Summary: The RN Clinical Nurse is responsible for providing individualized, high-quality patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team. This role requires adherence to the Wellstar Professional Practice Model and evidence-based practice and research. The ideal candidate will uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards set forth by the American Nurses Association. Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

• Performs the Nursing Process, using evidence-based practice and critical thinking
• Provides relationship-based patient-centered care that is consistent with population-specific characteristics
• Coordinates the delivery and documentation of safe quality patient care
• Demonstrates teamwork and collaboration by promoting the recruitment and retention of healthcare team members
• Completes all initial and ongoing professional competency assessment and required mandatory education
• Promotes evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement in nursing
• Proactively plans for the care of patients across the care continuum Required Minimum Education:
  • Associates Nursing or Bachelors Nursing (Preferred) Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):
    • Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN - Multi-state Compact
    • Basic Life Support or BLS - Instructor Required Minimum Experience:
      • Completion of accredited/approved school of nursing with requisite clinical hours (Required)
      • Less than 1 year direct patient care experience (Preferred)
